Sun Sensor ISS-TX

ISS-Tx Sun Sensor
  1. Turn Off Power to the Controller.
  2. Connect the Red wire to the Plus on the 12VDC power supply.
  3. Connect the Blue wire to the Negative on the 12VDC power supply.
  4. Connect the Yellow wire to terminal 20 (+RS-485) on the controller.
  5. Connect the Green wire to terminal 21 (-RS-485) on the controller.
  6. Connect the Grey wire to terminal 19 (GND) on the controller.
  7. Place a 120 Ohm resister between terminals 20 & 21 as shown.

This wiring is valid only for Model VT-MIPM2M-113.

Once wired and powered up, the user should see data in Analog Input registers AX201 through AX210. Register 211 though AX214 may not show values until the sensor is placed outdoors and has a radiation level of 700 or more.

The chart to the right shows the Additional numeric information provided by the sensor (Tag: Add_info), it’s meaning and how the controller will respond in order to correct.

Troubleshooting

If data does not appear in registers

Check controller model number is VT-MIPM2M-113

Turn ON Digital Output Y201 enableSSensor_MB

Check Power Supply has the correct polarity

Check that RS485 has the correct polarity

Check that RS485 ground goes to terminal 19

Check the resister is 120 Ohms plus or minus 5 Ohms

Check the RS-485 cable is shielded twisted pair.
